A Quote to Inspire

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

A Night for Play!

At first, I started not to tell about any of my shifting episodes but I realized that you guys need to know something about me. This time it happened after we (Tala, Denille, and Ashton) went out to a game.

The court was packed and we enjoyed the season’s four-on-four tournament. I, personally, didn’t care about anyone there except for the ones I was with but as I sat on the concrete bleachers I heard someone yell. The sounds came from the woods behind the cement block wall of the blacktop. I looked around to see if anyone else had heard but everyone was so into the game that no one seemed on alert. No one but me. I told Denille that I’d be back. I made up a lie about having to use the bathroom and went around to check it out.

I caught the scent of blood and thought that couldn’t be good at all. As soon as I was out of the eye of the drunken school kids I closed my eyes and concentrated on my form. Long fluid legs, strong straightened back, my elongated muzzle. The smooth gray fur along my body that felt just like my own skin. My vision became for vivid and clear and my large paws dug into the bracken earth. The cold, almost black, semi-wet dirt, meshed under my nails and between each. Once I was fully transitioned I stretched my hind legs back, pushing my fronts forward. It was just like waking up from a great sleep. But the thing was, I was just getting started.

I began to sniff the trail of the crimson liquid and noticed that the scent was familiar. Not familiar as in human but familiar as in species familiar. I began to pace myself as I loped and ran through the cool trees. The scent was getting stronger but I could not hear anyone or thing as the source of the seemingly fatal wound. Whoever it was They were around for a while till they decided to make their way out of the woods. Then once I got a lead on the scent and shot through the forest suddenly, the scent was gone. I even turned back and retraced my tracks and they were gone. I made sure that as I trekked back to the edge of the forest line, that I took in that scent so I’d know who they were if they just so happen to come across my path.

Once I got close to the cheers and yells of the Court I shifted back. I had to clean my nails as I walked, those were always dirty when I returned back to my human form. Nothing else. Funny huh? Well, I just thought that I’d share that with you. Who knows I may find out who they really are. And perhaps you too?

Stay tuned
